🐝 Stop the invasion: protect our bees with the selective hornet trap

The Asian hornet (also known as the yellow-legged hornet) is an enormous threat to our biodiversity and to local bee populations. But you can help! With our innovative 3D-printed traps we catch hornets without harming the rest of nature. Fight the Asian hornet with this selective hornet trap, with or without a matching jar.

The clever design catches hornets, while bees and other insects can generally escape.

Add the bait yourself (recipe included), place the trap on the jar and set or hang it outdoors. Ideal for use in spring to catch queens and so prevent new nests forming.

The trap is reusable, sturdy and ready to use straight away.

Why choose our 3D-printed traps?

Our traps are designed with efficiency and sustainability in mind. You don't need to buy expensive equipment; you simply reuse what's already in your cupboard.

  • Selective design: the openings are sized specifically to let Asian hornets in, while smaller beneficial insects can often find their way back out. 100% selectivity is impossible, which is why our guide includes some useful tips to make it easy for other insects to leave, so the trap doesn't become a drowning trap!
  • Durable and weatherproof: high-quality 3D-printed material that lasts season after season.

Now is the moment!

In early spring the queens fly out to found a new colony. This is the crucial moment: one queen caught in March or April means one nest fewer in summer.

Free guide included!

Every order comes with our comprehensive guide. In it we explain step by step how to set the trap and β€” more importantly β€” how to make the ultimate bait yourself, the kind hornets love but honeybees stay away from. We also set out exactly what to do and what not to do with your trap in order to keep the by-catch of beneficial insects to a minimum.

What do you get?

  1. The 3D-printed trap. You can optionally order a jar as well if you don't have one.

  2. The digital guide to bait and optimal use.

  3. The satisfaction of contributing directly to protecting our natural world.

Together we can stop the Asian hornet!

PS. Some chocolate spread jars from Lidl, Aldi and so on sometimes fit this model, sometimes the one made for Nutella; it isn't consistent and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it.
